History

First established in 1933, Furncrafts is entering its 70th Year of trading. Opened in June of that year by Frederick Rolland, a french polisher by trade, the shop has remained in the family ever since. In the 1980s the shop was taken over by Freds son Ken who runs the shop today. Despite the change in ownership, Fred remained working at Furncrafts up until his death in December 2001 aged ninety six.

Furncrfts today is Enfields leading supplier of care chairs, upholstery, and reproduction oak furniture. We are still commited to the same principles that allowed the shop to flourish in the difficult times of the 1930s: High Quality, Good Friendly Service, at hard to beat prices. In the year 2000, we won an award for our service from the trade magazine Furnishing, who had sent a mystery shopper around every furniture shop and department store in the Borough.
